Calling all Biosafety Officers!

The Research Office is creating a network of all departmental Biosafety Officers (or safety officers or Department Managers where appropriate) to improve communication between this group of people.

The University Biosafety Management Strategy requires that new policies and procedures are developed to enhance compliance in the increasingly complicated area. It is ensiaged that the Biosafety Officers Network will be used to gather valuable feedback about draft policies and proposed prodecures and the act as key points of contact between people working with biological agents and the Research Office.

To register for the network, please send an email to Dr Paul Taylor, Gene Technology and Biosafety Officer. Please include the name of your department and your role (e.g., biosafety officer, safety officer, department manager etc.).
