Find the type of approval you need for your dealing with a genetically modified organism (GMO):
- Confirm that your research involves the use of a “gene technology” or GMO by checking the list of techniques and organism that DO NOT require approval from the OGTR. If your dealing is on the list you do not need to proceed.
- If your project requires that a GMO is released into the environment, then a DIR licence is required.
- Check the approved host/vector system list and note your type of dealing.
