Gene Technology and Biosafety Committee
The Gene Technology and Biosafety Committee (the University IBC) meets to review applications every six weeks from February through to December. It is also responsible for conducting inspections of OGTR-certified facilities to ensure that they meet with guidelines (e.g. PC2 labs).Applications for review should be emailed to Denise Cappai no later than two weeks prior to a Committee meeting (see deadlines below). Very urgent applications may be reviewed by a specially convened ‘out-of-session’ meeting, but this is not guaranteed.
