Disclose via Themis
Melbourne Ventures - the commercialisation company for the University of Melbourne - manages invention disclosure submission and review processes. Disclosure is made via Themis and should be completed as early as possible. Simply:- Go to www.themis.unimelb.edu.au and log in.
- Select the UOM Research Self Service responsibility.
- Select the Intellectual Property (IP) Disclosure function located in the IP Disclosure section. The IP Disclosure workbench will display.
- Click on the Create New IP Disclosure button. The IP Disclosure (Part A) screen will display.
- Complete the form (Part A) and then click on the Submit button.
What happens next?
Melbourne Ventures will recieve your submission and arrange a meeting to complete the remainder of your disclosure form (Part B). Where commercial potential is identified close collaboration with creators will follow in order to determine the best approach for IP protection and commercialisation.
Where disclosure is being made in accordance with the obligations of a third party agreement, Melbourne Ventures will consult with the Melbourne Research Office. Disclosures relating to educational courseware and multimedia products will normally be referred to Curriculum Licensing Services.
