| Aim of scheme |
Enables eligible researchers to enhance or re-establish their academic research careers where they have been severely interrupted, delayed or otherwise constrained by chronic illness, child bearing, child rearing or primary responsibility for the sustained care of a dependent family member. |

$50,000 for 12 months (or pro rata part-time) |
| Eligibility | Applicants must have completed a PhD degree in their field at least three years prior to application. Fellowships may not be held in the Department of Medical Biology. Academic staff already employed by the University of Melbourne are eligible to apply. |
