Reporting requirements: NHMRC schemes

All NHMRC grants require the submission of an annual progress report or midterm report and a final report. Grant holders should submit one signed hardcopy at least two weeks prior to the external deadline. Submit reports to:

Annual Progress reports

Progress reports must be submitted to the Research Office by 15 March following each calendar year in which there were payments or carry forward of funds for a funded NHMRC Project Grant, except in the final year when the Final Report form must be used. Centres of Clinical Research Excellence progress reports are due by 31 December during each year of funding, except in the final year when a Final Report should be submitted.

Mid-Term Progress reports

NHMRC Researcher Support Schemes (Research, Practitioner and Australia Fellows) are required to submit (to the Research Office) a one page executive summary addressing achievements and progress against the aims of their respective scheme by 15 August in the third year of the grant.

Final reports

A Final Report must be submitted to the Grants Office within six months of the completion of the approved funding period for all awards. This report enables the NHMRC to assess whether the objectives of the award have been achieved.
